registered shoots in 2005 are listed below. All clubs interested in
hosting a Texas Challenge Shoot were given the opportunity to have their
names "thrown into a hat" and blindly picked as the winners. The clubs'

5 shoots in Texas based on attendance plus mandatory participation at State
shoot.
-
2007 Learjet
Open, Browning/Briley World Open, World English Sporting, San Angelo
Claybird Cup, Texas State Championship
-
Top three
points plus state shoot points will determine Team Texas
-
4 Open
Members, 4 class members as before.
-
Same scoring
procedure as before, based on existing points system.
-
Ranges will
have to provide excel spreadsheet minus out of state shooters for scoring.
-
Points will
be accumulated and posted on the TSCA website as the scores come in.
|
|
Points will be awarded as follows:
HOA - 250
RU - 200
3rd overall - 150
4th overall - 100
1st in each class - 50
2nd in each class - 49, etc.
all the way down to last in class.
-
Points will be awarded to all TSCA members
relative to finish in class.
-
Points will be used to determine All-Texas
team award at the end of seven shoot series.
-
All-Texas team will consist of 4 Open members
and 4 Class members.
-
Only TSCA members will be awarded points.
-
All ties not broken by shoot management will
share the same number of points.
-
No points or awards for concurrents, unless
furnished by host range.
-
You must attend a minimum of 3 shoots to be
eligible for All-Texas team.
-
Only your top 4 shoot point totals will count.
If you shoot all seven shoots
your 3 lowest point awards will be
thrown out.
-
Open All-Texas team points will not count in
the Class All-Texas team points and vice versa. A shooter who places in
the top 4 in any shoot will receive his/her Open points and 50 pts.
towards Class points.
|
Based on accumulated points at the end of the series, the All-Texas Class
members will be chosen as follows:
2 shooters from M/AA/A
and
2 shooters from B/C/D/E
-
Whichever class you are in during your first Texas
Challenge Series shoot will be what determines your selection, no matter
which class you end up in after completion of the 7
shoots. Example: if you start the series in E and work your way up to A by
the last shoot, all points you have accumulated will count to your
selection out of E class, not A class.
-
All ties will be broken by whichever method the particular
host club uses in its normal tournaments except for ties in the Open class
which must be shot off.
-
All Texas Challenge Series tournaments will consist of 100
targets shot over a minimum of 12 stations.
-
All-Texas team members will receive a plaque
and commemorative patch sponsored by Texas
Sporting Clays Association. Posters and flyers will all be
designated with the Texas Challenge Series logo and be advertised as such.
-
The top point winners in the Open division and
the Class division will be designated "Co-Captains" of the TSCA All-Texas
Team.
